Pelly Concert Orchestra

About Us

We have been heard on BBC Radio 3!

Our repertoire covers a wide range which includes well-known classical works, music from stage, screen, radio and tv.

Christopher Braime, our Musical Director, brings energy and vibrancy to rehearsals and performances alike and communicates a love of the wide variety of light music that we play.

We believe that everyone in an orchestra should derive the greatest enjoyment from their contribution to the music being played.  Rehearsals are not only an opportunity to improve playing and ensemble skills and to learn more about the music being played - they are also fun.

New members are warmly welcomed.  If you would like to know more, please click here to contact our Secretary or look on our How to Join page.

The Pelly Concert Orchestra, based on the borders of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire, gives four or five concerts a year, with more than 40 experienced players of all ages. Concerts are performed in Farnborough, Camberley (Surrey), Hartley Wintney and Yateley.

History of the Orchestra

The Orchestra began in the late 1960s as the Yateley Orchestra.  A brief history can be downloaded here.
